How to Shop

We've redesigned our shopping cart software to try to make online shopping as easy as possible. Here are some of the basics.

I want more information about the products. Many items have a More Info link at the end of the description. If you click this, you will get more detailed information about the product.

I can't really tell what the product looks like by the picture. Just click on the picture and a bigger, more detailed picture will be displayed. If there is a More Info link displayed, you can also click that.

How to I put an item in my shopping cart? Products that are usually ordered in quantity or that have options (like color or size), have an order box. In this box, you specify how many of the item you want as well as the options you want. Some options cost extra; in these cases the additional cost is indicated in the options menu. When you've entered the quantity you want and the options (if any), click BUY IT once. This places the item(s) in your shopping cart. If a product does not have an order box, just click the BUY IT button. This will place the item in the shopping cart.

After you view the contents of your shopping cart, if you want to select other products or keep looking, select Keep Shopping.

What if I change my mind about how the quantity I want to order? Within the shopping cart, you can change the quantity ordered just by typing a different number. Select Recalculate to update your total.

What if I decide I don't want something that I already put in my shopping cart? To remove an item from your shopping cart, click on the Remove checkbox next to the item. Then select Recalculate.

To remove all items in your shopping cart, select Clear.

How do I check out when I'm done shopping? When you're done shopping, select Checkout. At this point, you will be given two options for your order. You can complete the order online using a Visa or Mastercard number, or you can prepare an order to mail or fax us or to phone in. Just follow the instructions on the screen.

What if I can't find an item on the site? You can use the Search feature to locate products in our store using words that might be found in the product titles or descriptions. Note that only the store pages will be searched.

Why Our Web Site is Safe

Our secure server software (SSL) is among the best software available today for ensuring secure e-commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, address, etc. so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

When you shop this site, you will be one of thousands of customers who have safely shopped with us without a single instance of credit card fraud.

Still don't want to use your credit card online? No problem. Just go through the online ordering process and choose Offline Order when given that option. Your order will be submitted with all the necessary details except payment information. You can mail or fax payment or credit card information to us. Or you can call the office and give us your credit card information. Just mention the order number the store assigns to you.

Can I just email you my credit card information? No!! Many people feel safe sending us credit card information in an email because they assume it's private since it's only addressed to us. This could not be further from the truth. Any information included in an email is not secure as it travels over the Internet.

My browser is displaying a warning message that security has expired. If your web browser displays a message saying that the security certificate has expired, this applies to your browser and not to our site. You probably need to update your browser root certificates, particularly if you are using Netscape 3x. Your Privacy

We ask you to provide us with your telephone number or an email address where we can reach you in case there is a problem processing your order. But we want you to know that your privacy is important to us. The information you provide us is confidential.

We do not sell or rent our mailing list to anyone.

Payment for Orders

Payment for all orders must be made before the order can be shipped. You can pay for an order with Visa, Mastercard, a personal check in US funds, or a money order in US funds. We do not accept foreign bank transfers of funds.

Returned checks are subject to a $25 processing fee.

Shipping

I live in the U.S., how much will it cost to ship my order? U.S. shipping rates are based on the total amount of your order. The shopping cart will automatically calculate the correct shipping for your order and display the information.

I live in Europe, how much will it cost to ship my order overseas? If this an overseas or Canadian order, you will be charged the actual airmail postage plus $4.95 for packaging and insurance. Because the shopping cart software cannot calculate the total weight of your order, shipping charges must be added to your invoice after we receive the order. If you want to approve shipping costs before we process the order, please indicate that in the Comments box on the order form. We will then email you the information before charging your credit card. You may accept or decline the order at this point.

When will my order be shipped? Most orders placed Monday through Thursday are shipped within 24 hours. Orders placed late on Friday or on the weekend will be shipped the following Monday.

How will my order be shipped? Domestic orders are shipped either by US First Class, US Priority Mail, or UPS depending on the weight of the package and the destination.

Canadian and Overseas orders are shipped by airmail. You will be charged the actual airmail postage cost plus $4.95 for packaging and insurance. Because the shopping cart software cannot calculate the total weight of your order, shipping costs must be added to your invoice after we receive the order. If you want to approve shipping costs before we process the order, please indicate that in the Comments box on the order form. We will then email you the information before charging your credit card. You may accept or decline the order at this point.

What if I want my order shipped overnight or by a guaranteed delivery date? You may request Federal Express, UPS Next Day, UPS 2-day, or UPS 3-day service for an additional charge. If you want one of these services, just make a note in the Comments section of the order form. If you wish to be called or emailed with a price for the special shipping services before we process the order, please indicate that. Alternatively, you can indicate that you approve additional shipping charges up to a certain amount.

Customs Information

Customs forms for all international packages (overseas and Canada) list the value of your order's contents by product type. For example:

Clothing value: $40.00
Suppliments value: $ 9.99

We are not able to describe the contents in any other way. Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches its destination country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you may want to contact your local customs office for further information.

Returns

With the exception of computer software products, you may return any item for replacement or a refund within 15 days of receipt of your order, as long as the item is in its original condition.

Simply indicate the reasons for your return, include a copy of the sales receipt that we sent you, and wrap the package securely. For your protection, we recommend that you use UPS or Insured Parcel Post for shipment. This provides proof that the item was mailed if we do not receive the package.

If you do not have your sales receipt, please make sure that the name and address used on the order are included in the package.

Please note that we can refund shipping costs only if the return is because of a manufacturing defect or a result of our error.

If you have any problems with your order or using the site, please don't hesitate to contact use. The office is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM eastern standard time, Monday through Friday and 8 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Technical Questions & Answers

Sometimes, when I click on a link or button, the page looks like it is loading, but nothing happens. What's the problem? This generally is a result of the database for the site getting hit by too many users at once. Just stop the page from continuing to load and try again. Anytime it takes more than 30 seconds to a minute for the page to load, you would probably be better off just trying again.

What do I do if I get an error mesages? Occasionally, an error is caused by a brief interruption to the database, which can occur for a number of reasons. Most of the time, if you just go back a couple pages and try again, you should be able to continue without a problem. Otherwise, you will be presented with a form that will allow you to send complete error diagnostic information to us. Be sure to fill in your email address so we can contact you for more information if necessary, or to let you know when the problem is fixed. I created a user account and now I need to change my address. Is there a way to do this? You can make changes to your user account, including unsubscribing from our email list, by clicking Login on the menu bar. Once you have logged in, you can change your password, unsubscribe, or make other changes to your account.
